ASHVATTHAMA’S EVIL DEEDS

At the end of the battle of Kurukshetra, Ashvatthama sneaked into the Pandavas’ camp and Killed Draupadi’s five sleeping sons.

Krishna and Arjuna chased Ashvatthama, who was so frightened of being caught he launched an atomic weapon. Arjuna then sent his own weapon to neutralise Ashvatthama’s.

With the terrible danger over, Arjuna caught hold of Ashvatthama and bound him with ropes. Krishna and Arjuna then took Ashvatthama back to the Pandavas’ camp to discuss a fitting punishment.

Krishna and the Pandavas decided not to kill Ashvatthama, but to humiliate him instead. Arjuna randomly chopped off Ashvatthama’s hair and cut the precious jewel from his head before throwing him out of the camp.

Even after being humiliated, Ashvatthama did not change. He proved his ongoing nastiness by trying to kill baby Pariksit, who was a tiny baby in his mother’s womb.

Lord Krishna rescued Pariksit, who grew up to become emperor of the world.
